History
1920-1960
Origins and Pioneering Vision
The FMGRU adventure began in 1920, when the Fuochi and Milanesi families founded a family-run business.
During the 1950s, the company consolidated its expertise in metalwork and welded constructions, building bridges, agricultural machinery, and power grid structures. In 1963, the company launched the production of its first top-slewing self-erecting cranes (AM series), investing resources and skills to become a benchmark in the lifting industry.
1970-1980
Innovation, Growth, and International Expansion
The 1970s marked a period of intense technical innovation: the bottom-slewing cranes (RB series) and top-slewing tower cranes (MI series) were introduced. In 1977, the company made its debut at the BAUMA fair in Munich, paving the way for international markets.
With the production of the first RBI hydraulic self-erecting crane (1985) and its export to the United States (1986), FMGRU confirmed its dedication to innovation and global growth.
1990-PRESENT
Technology, Sustainability, and Industry 4.0
From the 1990s onwards, the company continued its evolution with the new CTY, TCK, and TLX ranges—symbols of reliability and advanced structural design.
In 2016, the RBI-FA series was born: bottom-slewing hydraulic self-erecting cranes equipped with high-speed axles. Starting from 2018, with the launch of the FM LK crane and the 3085 TLX model, through to the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies in 2019, all cranes became remotely controllable.
A century after its founding, FMGRU continues to blend mechanical tradition and technological innovation to build the future of lifting.
