With more than 60 years of experience, the founding families Fuochi and Milanesi still lead FM GRU company today. FM GRU is one of the leaders in building and selling construction cranes. The whole manufacturing process, from engineering to final testing, takes place in the headquarters of Pontenure (PC), in an area which is over 100.000 square metres, realising a final product totally Made in Italy.

Thanks to the use of innovative technologies and to the capacity to meet the needs of every single building site, the brand FM GRU is known and appreciated all over the world for its efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Our history

1920

The Fuochi and Milanesi families found the family-run company

1950

The company begins its business in the field of welded construction and metal carpentry: road bridges, formwork for prefabrication, agricultural machinery, electricity transmission pylons, presses, and a popular range of forklifts.

1963

Start of production of high rotation self-erecting cranes (AM series) for construction and port sites, investing in this activity all its economic and human resources, with the aim of achieving the highest degree of specialization in the lifting field.

1970

Birth of the first low rotation crane with ropes (RB series)

1972

Birth of the high rotation tower crane (MI series)

1977

First participation at the BAUMA International Trade Fair in Munich

1985

Production beginning of the first hydraulic self-erecting crane RBI

1986

First hydraulic self-erecting crane RMI exported in the USA

1991

Birth of the new tower crane range CTY

1999

Birth of the new saddle jib tower crane range TCK

2003

Birth of the last and innovative topless tower crane range TLX

2016

Birth of the hydraulic self-erecting cranes with fast axels range RBI-FA

2018

Launch on the market of the first FM hydraulic luffing crane LK and of the big tower crane mod.FM 3085 TLX

2019

Technological innovation: with the new Industry 4.0 law all our cranes can be remotely controlled

2023

New models of cranes coming to market, which will be presented at the next edition BAUMA 2022.
